Superkid mohair is from kid goats under 6 months old, making it finest, softest, silkiest and most luxurious mohair in the world. This is wrapped around a polymide and merino wool core, to make it strong enough for machine knitting. Like with most mohair you can wash and brush the knitting to release the fibres, resulting in a light, fluffy fabric.

Not the easiest yarn to use for a beginner, but once mastered this yarn can create the most beautiful lightweight garments and wraps. It is particularly special when knitted into loose, off-gauge ladder structures because the fluffy fibres maintain the openness of the knit. Or mixed with another yarn type to add its fluffiness to the knit fabric.
